What our guests say :

A little gem of an hotel”.....Reviewed 19 December 2011
We were so pleased to discover Peel Hey a few years ago when visiting a relative who lives close by. Since then we have stayed many times and find it a real home-from-home. Sue and Ken, the owners, together with their lovely staff, are always very welcoming and friendly: nothing is too much trouble. If we've arrived late of an evening (we come from Switzerland), sandwiches and drinks have been prepared for us. As neither my husband nor I are fond of the "chain" type motel/hotel, or the large impersonal hotels, Peel Hey is ideal for us. We love the old house and its pretty rooms, and love the terrace in summer. We can highly recommend the high-teas served throughout the summer months, with the most delicious variety of sandwiches, cakes, scones with clotted cream....
Peel Hey is also within very short distance of the motorway to Liverpool or Chester, so ideal for shopping trips as well as discovering the rest of the beautiful Wirral. All in all, a little gem of place and one we will be visiting again in the springtime.
Room Tip: We like the rooms at the front that have an outlook over the field of horses and countryside......Roger & Pam , Switzerland

“Thank You So Much” Reviewed 26 November 2011
I would like to say that we had the warmest and friendliest welcome when my parents, daughter and I stayed at Peel Hey. Ken, his wife and their staff were so lovely. We had driven up from the south and had a traumatic day. The Hotel were organising a special evening meal for 30+ guests and we were still made to feel welcome- they couldn't do enough to make our stay as relaxing as possible.
The room we stayed in was absolutely perfect, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was filling and really good to get you going for a busy day ahead.
Thank you very much. I would recommend this hotel to everyone......Clare.

Room Tip: If you have a family we had a room with a mezzanine floor and it was perfect, they even supply a baby gate if you require one.......Clare W. Southampton

'Reminisce'..
We just recently had to attend a funeral in West Kirby and stayed at Peel Hey. The accommodation was delightful with beautifully decorated bedroom. The food was excellent as were the staff, they were all superb and especially Sarah. A very good find, and if ever that way again we would definitely stay at Peel Hey.....

'A nice change from a chain hotel'
I recently had the pleasure of attending a dinner and conference at the hotel and stayed overnight. The whole experience was lovely. From the rooms to the staff and the food everything was nicely done and could not be faulted. An excellent breakfast set me up for the day and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. A nice change from the usual chain hotels.
Room Tip: Ground floor room 1 was very comfortable, stylish and convenient, particularly for the less mobile.......Reesey , Cardiff, October 2011

'Excellent Customer Service'
I can't thank you enough for the stay with you at Peel Hey, as I had to take my dog to the vetinary hospital it was a very worrying time. All of the staff, particularly Sarah made every effort to make us (both) feel very welcome and comfortable without any fuss. Definately coming back here again (but under better circumstances I hope) and would recommend it to anyone. A big thank you to all of the staff for making me (and Bleu) feel extremely welcome and soon as we walked through the door.
Hope to see you all soon.... Manxie, IOM, Sept 2011-12-24

A Wonderful Time with very friendly staff'
Although we didn't have the pleasure of staying the night the staff were fantastic. We were there for a family members 80th birthday and the staff did nothing but ensure our every need was catered for. The BBQ was a lovely Mediterranean style buffet and no one was ever without drinks. If ever back in this area would definitely book a room.......TR201, July 2011-12-24

'Golfing Hospitality'
Great location to play the golf courses of the Wirral peninsular. Our group of 8 occupied 8 of the 9 rooms. No complaints from any of us. Some rooms just had showers, which was a slight problem after playing 36 holes at Wallasey GC. A tough course in gale force winds, but fantastic links. No wonder it was the 2006 Open Qualifier course. We also played Caldy: a fantastic combination of seaside links and parkland course. Our favourite. We played Bromborough: a parkland course, and was the perfect start to the weekend.
Back to the B&B: Ken the owner a fantastic host and knowledgeable about the local courses and eateries. No where was too far away. There was free wifi connection in the lounge, for the sadoes who felt the need to keep in touch with work. The traditional english breakfasts were freshly cooked to order and delicious. A great way to start the strenuous day of playing golf.
Ken allowed us to play poker in the evening, and there was a honesty box bar.
Would we go back? YES! We are planning to go back again next summer and include Heswall in our tour of Wirral golf.......
